Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin has been given a sentencing date after being convicted this week on three counts in the killing of George Floyd.
The Hennepin County District Court said on Friday the 45-year-old’s sentencing is slated for 1:30 p.m. on June 16, according to WCCO-TV, a local CBS outlet.
