QUARTET LOVE

The talented female a cappella quartet Anonymous 4 is anything but anonymous. The New York City-based quartet is known for its virtuosic vocal blend of medieval music from the year 1000, American folk songs, and even music of the 12th-century abbess and mystic Hildegard of Bingen. They’ve performed around the world and are regulars at several major international festivals throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America. The group consists of Susan Hellauer, Ruth Cunningham, Jacqueline Horner-Kwiatek and Marsha Genesky, and together, they’ve made an impressive 19 best-selling recordings. They will be performing at 7:30 p.m. at the Kennedy Center (2700 F St. NW) in the Terrace Theater. Their performance, “Love Fail,” is a collaboration with Pulitzer Prize-winning composer David Lang. Tickets are $38 at kennedy-center.org.
