CHICAGO (AP) — Authorities say a man is in custody after he allegedly sped through the main gate of a Chicago-area naval station and slammed into two security cars during a police chase.

Officials with the Naval Station Great Lakes north of Chicago say the suspect was injured during the crash about 11 p.m. Thursday. He was taken to a hospital, though his medical status was not immediately clear Friday.
