An insurance company is re-evaluating its advertising relationship with Fox News following a Tucker Carlson segment where he discussed the negative effects of mass immigration.
“We strongly disagree with Mr. Carlson’s statements,” Pacific Life said in a statement posted to Twitter Friday.

On Thursday night’s show, Carlson said that people tell the U.S. it morally must admit “the world’s poor,” which he says in turn will make America “poorer, and dirtier, and more divided.”
“[A]s an economic matter, this is insane,” Carlson said. “It’s indefensible, so nobody even tries to defend it. Instead, our leaders demand that you shut up and accept this. We have a moral obligation to admit the world’s poor, they tell us, even if it makes our own country poorer, and dirtier, and more divided.”
An advertisement for Pacific Life played immediately after Carlson made his comments, leading the company to question its decision to advertise on Fox.
“One of our ads appeared on Tucker Carlson’s show last night following a segment where Mr. Carlson made a number of statements regarding immigration,” Pacific Life said in its statement. “Our customer base and our workforce reflect the diversity of our great nation, something we take great pride in. We will not be advertising on Mr. Carlson’s show in the coming weeks as we reevaluate our relationship with his program.”
Fox News issued a statement in response to Pacific Life’s announcement, saying that left-wing groups weaponize social media against companies they disagree with.
“It is a shame that left-wing advocacy groups, under the guise of being supposed ‘media watchdogs,’ weaponize social media against companies in an effort to stifle free speech,” Fox said in a statement. “We continue to stand by and work with our advertisers through these unfortunate and unnecessary distractions.”
