Italians have been singing various songs from their balconies while the nation remains shut down during the coronavirus outbreak.
Videos from the country show people singing and dancing to music, including patriotic songs.

During Italy’s quarantine, Italian tenor Maurizio Marchini wanted to do something to spread joy amid all the sadness in Florence.
So climbed on to his balcony and serenaded the entire town.

Italy has been hit with one of the worst outbreaks of the coronavirus. So far, over 21,000 people have been infected in the country, and almost 1,500 have died.
The country has instituted a lockdown that has confined millions to their homes. Italy is seeing some decreases of new cases in a few cities, but worry that a swath of visitors from the north last weekend could have laid the groundwork for an exponential spike.
