ALTON, Ill. (AP) — Authorities in southwestern Illinois have arrested a second suspect in connection with an Alton shooting death.
U.S. Marshal’s Service officers arrested 38-year-old Bruce D. Bradley of Fairview Heights on Monday morning at a residence in Washington Park, according to Alton Police Department spokeswoman Emily Hejna.
He faces three counts of first-degree murder, armed robbery and armed violence in the Sept. 6 death of Melvin Hayes, 39, of St. Louis. Police said Hayes’ body was found behind an abandoned home
Another suspect, 33-year-old Antione Parker of Belleville, faces similar charges. Parker, who was arrested Sept. 8, has pleaded not guilty. Both men are being held on $1 million bond each.
It was not immediately clear if Bradley has an attorney.
