Andy Warhol is once again enjoying 15 minutes of fame as his iconic print of a Campbell’s Chicken Noodle soup can made an appearance on the House floor Wednesday. Rep. Joe Crowley, D-N.Y., unveiled the large print during an impassioned speech on health care, in which he suggested that the GOP’s solution to people’s health care woes was to just “eat some chicken noodle soup.”
“I don’t know why Republicans want to go back to the day when chicken noodle soup was the only option for hardworking families that couldn’t afford care,” Crowley declared, before hitting the legislative body with this gem: “Chicken noodle soup might be mm-mm good lunch, but as a health care policy it is mm-mm bad.”
To the best of Yeas & Nays’ knowledge, no member of the GOP has advocated that Obamacare be replaced with chicken noodle soup.
