Ashton drops big bucks to be among the first to experience space travel

There are likely a lot of people who would love to see Ashton Kutcher fly far, far away.

Those folks may be in luck.

The Associated Press is reporting that the “Two and a Half Men” star is the 500th person to buy a spot on British billionaire Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic space line.

Richard announced the news on his blog, saying, “He is as thrilled as we are at the prospect of being among the first to cross the final frontier (and back!) with us and to experience the magic of space for himself.”

Ashton, along with several other Hollywood types, international entrepreneurs, scientists and space buffs, will be among the first to reach the edge of the Earth. And that ride doesn’t come cheap. Each seat on the two-and-a-half-hour flight is currently going for $200,000, according to the AP.

Richard has said he wants to one day make space travel safe and affordable for the masses.

Virgin Galactic is in the final stages of its test flight program. The AP says the company will launch its spacecraft from Spaceport America, a specially designed terminal and runway built in a remote stretch of desert in southern New Mexico.

The secret’s out

Victoria’s Secret model Adriana Lima is pregnant with her second child, Us Weekly reports.

The Brazilian beauty, 30, and her husband, Serbian basketball player Marko Jaric, are already parents to a daughter, Valentina, 2.

Adriana suffered from preeclampsia during her first pregnancy, causing Valentina to be born early. So we wish the couple the best of luck with No. 2.

Again, the secret’s out

Seann William Scott has confirmed that he and former Victoria’s Secret model Lindsay Frimodt are engaged.

At the premiere of “American Reunion,” he casually told E! News, “I don’t how I got a girl like my fiancee.”

Congrats Stifler!
