ALICE, Texas (AP) — It’ll be a day of damage assessment and cleanup in the South Texas town of Alice after a savage thunderstorm has roared through.
The storm hit Alice, about 40 miles west of Corpus Christi, about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday when the area was under a tornado warning. The storm toppled large trees and utility poles, shattered windows and windshields, and left much of the town in the dark.
