Baltimore County police have changed a local teenager with killing a 23-year-old man who was shot to death in Middle River in August.
Avar Cornell Tunstall, 18, of the 4200 block of Maple Path Circle, was arrested and charged late Saturday in connection to the killing of Terrell Scott, of the unit block of Maple Drive, police said Monday.
Scott was shot to death on Aug. 25 in the unit block of Maple Drive.
Police were called at 11:48 p.m. on Aug. 25 to the Maple Drive address after receiving calls for shots fired. When they arrived in the area, they found Scott on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. He was flown to Shock Trauma where he died from his injuries about two hours later.
Detectives were able to identify Tunstall from witnesses they interviewed throughout their investigation. The motive for the murder is unknown to investigators.
Tunstall has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center with bail denied.
