Attorneys for Katherine Wone — the wife of slain D.C. lawyer Robert Wone — are seeking to amend their wrongful-death suit against the three men who had been accused of covering up Wone’s killing.
Wone was found stabbed to death in the town house of Joseph Price, Dylan Ward and Victor Zaborsky in August 2006. All three were acquitted of conspiracy, obstruction of justice and tampering with evidence at a criminal trial this summer.
But the new civil complaint draws on statements from Judge Lynn Leibovitz’s ruling. She said it was “very probable” that Wone’s killer was one of them or someone they knew.
The amended complaint also omits previous references to an alleged sexual assault of Wone. Prosecutors’ claims of sexual assault were ruled inadmissible.
