Trial date set for Virginia Tech lawsuits A trial date has been set for two $10 million lawsuits filed against Virginia Tech officials by families of two students slain in the 2007 massacre at the school. The nine-day trial will begin Sept. 26. Most of the victims’ families accepted their share of an $11 million state settlement.
