Police: Md. bank robber is still on the loose

Police are seeking help in identifying the man who robbed an Anne Arundel County bank last month.

The robbery happened at the 1st Mariner Bank located at 1600 Annapolis Road in Odenton on May 6, according to Anne Arundel County police. Police issued another lookout poster about the case last week, saying detectives were still seeking information about the suspect.

Police said the man entered the bank at about 11:15 a.m., approached a bank teller and demanded money.

He told the teller to put the money into a bag that he had carried with him into the bank, and the teller complied with his demands.

The man then fled the bank after obtaining the cash. Police did not disclose how much money he obtained.

No one was injured in the incident and the man didn’t seem to imply that he was carrying a weapon.

Anyone who has information about the robbery is asked to call the Anne Arundel County police robbery unit at 410-222-3469 or 410-222-3469, or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7-LOCKUP (562587). Tipsters can also send a text message that says “MCS” plus the tip to 274637.

Crime Stoppers tipsters could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
