A 31-year-old Herndon woman was abducted and raped in Manassas on Thursday night, and police are looking for the suspect.
Police said the woman was walking to a residence of an acquaintance near Maplewood Drive and Peakwood Court in Manassas at about 11:15 p.m. on Thursday evening. An unknown man approached her and displayed a handgun, he then forced her into a secluded area behind a townhouse and raped her.
The victim sought help and was transported to a local hospital. Police said the suspect is a black male, about 5 foot 9 with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black, puffy winter jacket, dark gray jeans and a black and white bandana.
