Members of the U.S. marshals task force arrested a violent sex offender thanks to a tip from a reader of The Washington Examiner, in the 26th capture credited to the newspaper. Marshals deputies said an anonymous caller told them that they had read the “Most Wanted” story about Azeik Keys and had seen the fugitive near a building on Martin Luther King Avenue in Southeast Washington. Deputy marshals kept surveillance on the building and on Monday arrested Keys as he left the location. “Another nice job by Examiner readers,” said Matt Burke, supervisory inspector for the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Burke said Keys told the arresting deputies that they’d be looking for him again because he vowed to not register as a sex offender, deputies said.
