Deli owner killed during robbery, police say
A woman was found shot to death Thursday morning at the H Street deli she owned, and police believe she was killed during a robbery.

About 6 a.m., employees of Grace Deli on the 700 block of H Street NE found 64-year-old Hae Soon Lim as they were arriving to work. Lt. Robert Alder said Lim was behind the deli’s counter suffering from a single gunshot wound to the neck and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police did not see any signs of forced entry, Alder said.
Occupiers’ trial continues
Twelve Occupy DC protesters involved in a Dec. 4 standoff with police spent Thursday afternoon in court, answering to misdemeanor charges, including failure to obey an emergency order. One protestor was cleared when the judge ruled there was insufficient evidence to place her at the scene, but the others will continue to argue their cases Monday. Prosecutors allege the defendants broke the law when they refused police orders to leave a 16-foot-tall barn that Occupiers had constructed in McPherson Square.
Man charged in Fairfax killing
A Prince George’s County man has been charged with killing a man in the Reston area over the weekend.
Fairfax County police said 20-year-old Abir Ali was arrested in the slaying of 40-year-old Bharat Patel, who was found dead on the 11900 block of Winterthur Lane early Saturday.
Officers had responded to that area for a report of a fight. Police said Patel suffered trauma to his upper body, but did not disclose further details about how he died.
No motive for the killing was released.
