A fire that ripped through a three-story row house on Rhode Island Avenue in Northwest left 18 people homeless.
The fire, which started at 10 Rhode Island Ave., spread to two adjacent homes early Monday morning. Officials said about 100 firefighters responded to the blaze after a neighbor called D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services around 5 a.m. saying there was a fire on the roof.
