The state of Maryland revoked the registration of a Prince George’s County-based developer and filed charges accusing it of accepting more than $400,000 in deposits in payments from county residents for homes it never built.

Westwood Design Build Inc. didn’t start building the promised homes, failed to pay subcontractors and did not refund advance payments paid by the Prince George’s customers, Attorney General Doug Gansler said Wednesday. The company also failed to disclose to state regulators lawsuits filed against it by consumers and subcontractors  concerning the company’s building practices.
