Prince George’s County police said Thursday that they have made four arrests related to five murders from the past two weeks.
The closed cases come after a spike in homicides in early November and represent half the homicides in Prince George’s so far this month.
Jacob L. Brooks, 19, of Landover, was charged with murder in connection with the Nov. 3 shooting death of Daryl T. Clark, 36, of Landover.
Damien Von Wheeler, 23, of Bowie, was charged with murder in the Nov. 9 shooting death of Deangelo Kevin Alston, 19, of Landover.
Darrell Raynard McCarty, 19, of Suitland, faces two murder charges in connection with the Nov. 7 shooting deaths of Mario N. Shepard, 26, of Cheltenham, and Kelvin Antonio Franklin, 23, of Upper Marlboro. The bodies of both men were found in a Suitland cemetery.
Brandon Christopher Reeves, 20, of Temple Hills, was charged with murder in connection to the Nov. 7 shooting death of Charles Leroy Ware, 53, of Temple Hills.
