Three dead in Prince George’s in six hours
Prince George’s police are investigating three separate incidents that left three people dead in less than six hours Saturday night.
It began Saturday evening at 6:41 p.m. when a man was fatally shot on the 1400 block of Kanawha Street in Langley Park.
It continued at 8:39 p.m., when a tow truck struck and killed a woman at Riggs Road and University Boulevard. Police are searching for a Toyota that may have also struck the pedestrian before fleeing the scene.
Then, at 12:19 a.m., police responded to a death during an attempted robbery. Masked robbers with handguns forced people to lie on the ground on the 1200 block of Oates Street, and a driver ?– who may have been startled — ran over one victim.
Two men fatally shot in shopping plaza
Two men were fatally shot in the Eden Center shopping plaza on Saturday night, and police are investigating the deaths as a probable homicide and suicide.
Police say the first man was shot exiting his car near the Thuy Trang Hair Salon. The second man was found in his car outside Cafe Metro, another venue in the Vietnamese shopping center near Seven Corners. The gunshot wound appeared self-inflicted and a gun was found in the car.
Investigators are still trying to determine a motive.
Body found in Dupont Circle alley
A body found in Dupont Circle is unrelated to a shooting that occurred just blocks away later that Saturday afternoon, D.C. police say.
The body was discovered in an alley near 17th and P streets Northwest at about 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Police gave no details about the deceased and have not determined if their death was a homicide.
At 3:15 p.m., two perpetrators armed with handguns robbed a citizen on the 1600 block of 17th Street Northwest. During a struggle, another citizen was shot and sustained a non-life-threatening injury.
One of the individuals, a black male teenager, escaped the scene.
