Johnson will be joined by House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA), Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN), GOP Conference Chairwoman Lisa McClain (R-MI), and Republican Governance Group Vice Chairman Carlos Gimenez (R-FL).

The government shutdown continued into its 37th day on Thursday, building on a record it set on Wednesday.
Republicans and Democrats continue to blame each other for the shutdown, as President Donald Trump said earlier this week that he would withhold Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits until “Radical Left Democrats open up the government.”
