A 44-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the death of Orsolya Gaal, whose body was found with dozens of stab wounds in a duffel bag in Queens last Saturday.
A Queens man, who has not been publicly identified, was charged with murder, criminal tampering, and criminal possession of a weapon, the New York Police Department announced Thursday.

Gaal’s body was found by authorities next to a sidewalk with a trail of blood leading to her home a half-mile away. The autopsy report revealed Gaal sustained around 60 sharp force injuries to her neck, torso, and left arm, law enforcement said.

Surveillance footage around Gaal’s home appeared to show an unidentified person dragging a duffel bag along the street, hours before her body was found. Gaal’s killer was suspected to be someone who knew her because there were no signs of a break-in at the residence, the outlet reported.
