Trump campaign spending $10 million on ad targeting Biden and impeachment inquiry

President Trump's reelection campaign, along with the Republican National Committee, plans to spend $10 million on an ad targeting his potential 2020 opponent Joe Biden and the upcoming impeachment proceedings.

The ad, which Trump tweeted out Friday, accuses Biden of muscling the Ukrainian government to fire a prosecutor investigating a business of which his son was a board member in exchange for $1 billion. The ad claims Democrats and the media are trying to impeach the president over his attempts to fight corruption.

Since Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi announced the beginning of an impeachment inquiry on Tuesday, the Trump campaign has raised $13 million. Brad Parscale, Trump's campaign manager, also said the Trump campaign had brought in 50,000 new donors in two days.

The impeachment inquiry was opened by House Democrats after an intelligence community whistleblower complaint alleged that Trump pressured the Ukrainian president to investigate Biden in exchange for military funding.
