As the price of regular gas continues to surge throughout the nation, it’s pretty hard for the administration and lawmakers to miss just how the pain is. That’s because the Exxon closest to the White House, and across the street from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s condo, has now boosted regular gasoline to $4.99 a gallon.

The station at 22nd and M Streets N.W. is regularly used by D.C. police, cabs, and federal security forces.
