It is a health lesson that has been drilled into every American since kindergarten, but an amazing 26.6 percent of the nation does absolutely no exercise — not even gardening — according to a new federal report.
The details are in a new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention study of America’s bad habits such as smoking and binge drinking.

People in Colorado were the most active, with just 16.5 percent in the slug category. The laziest: Puerto Rico, where 47.3 percent reported no physical activity.
For the record, those quizzed were given examples of physical activity: “running, calisthenics, golf, gardening, or walking for exercise.”
