Staying: ‘Joe, Jill, I, Michelle will all continue to be involved’

President Obama has just 94 more days on the job, but unlike all of his predecessors, he seems to have no plan to leave.

He said so today during an Oval Office update on his and Vice President Joe Biden’s cancer “moonshot” effort.

“I could not be prouder of the work Joe, Jill and this team have done,” said Obama, according to a pool report on the event.

“I’m looking forward to not only laying the groundwork for the next administration to pick up the baton and run with it, but I know Joe and Jill and I and Michelle will all continue to be involved after we’ve left this office in making sure that this works,” he added.

Also unlike past presidents, Obama and his family plan to stay in Washington while their children finish school.

Hillary Rodham Clinton has been dogged with charges that she is running to continue Obama’s plans in a sort of Obama third term.
