President Joe Biden’s flawed border policies are bringing COVID-19 and drugs into the United States and causing increases in the abuse of female migrants and preventable deaths, according to a new survey on the crisis.
The National Sheriffs’ Association poll and analysis, shared with Secrets, indicated that the public, especially in border states, is ringing the alarm bell about the dangers of the administration’s open borders.
“Americans believe that the crisis of migrants arriving through the southern border and into the United States is increasing the exploitation of transported women subjected to servitude, prostitution, and other forms of exploitation,” said Cochise County, Arizona, Sheriff Mark Dannels, chairman of the National Sheriffs’ Association Border Security Committee.
“The crisis is increasing preventable deaths of many immigrants during transport due to causes such as drowning and dehydration, an increase in COVID cases in the United States, and a spike in drug trafficking because of the influx,” he added.

Since he became president just over 100 days ago, the border once closed by former President Donald Trump has turned into a fast-spinning turnstile and a humanitarian disaster. Hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants have crossed over, many bused to cities around the nation with no warning to locals.
The sheriff’s TIPP Poll, conducted by TechnoMetrica, highlighted the horrific impact Biden’s policies have had at the border and inside the U.S.
It found that 55% believe that it has increased “abuse of migrant women transported and coerced into indentured servitude, prostitution.” That includes 53% of Democrats and 56% of liberals.
Some 50% believe it has increased COVID infections, bringing the virus inside the country and immediately threatening border officials.

According to one report, a privately operated Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Aurora, Colorado, had a coronavirus outbreak that hit 94 after the Biden administration transferred illegal immigrants there in April.
The survey also said that 58% believe the crisis has led to the preventable deaths of illegal immigrants by drowning, vehicle accidents, and dehydration.
Dannels said, 68% of border state residents on the front lines believe that.
Mexican intelligence officials have reported that this year alone, 53 migrants drowned in the Mexican state of Coahuila attempting to cross the Rio Grande north of Laredo, Texas.
What’s more, the survey found that half the nation believes that drug laws are ineffective in stopping the new flood of drugs over the borders. Recently, Dannels said in his analysis, “The situation has worsened on the southern border. Contraband substances such as Fentanyl, heroin, and opioid have increased.”
The National Sheriffs’ Association and many border officials have been sharply critical of the president’s moves to both dismantle the Trump policies and signal that the U.S. is now free to enter. The president has warned migrants to stay home, but they don’t believe the president, and many have been photographed coming into the U.S. wearing Biden campaign-style T-shirts.
The president recently named Houston area Sheriff Ed Gonzalez to run ICE. Gonzalez, however, was critical of Trump’s policies, so it is unlikely he will crack down on the border.
“Unfortunately, current border security policies have empowered the criminal cartels, human smugglers and traffickers in heroin, methamphetamines, and fentanyl, while leaders in Washington, D.C., have remained ineffective at combating this enormous crisis hurting our border communities and briskly moving to the United States’s interior,” said Dannels.
