Twice as many people said that they or a family member had the flu recently versus COVID-19.
In the latest Rasmussen Reports survey, 13% said they or a family member had the flu during the 2018-2019 season when 34,200 died.
And, for the current pandemic, it found that 6% said that they or a family member has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
It also said that many were willing to take the drug touted by President Trump as a potential cure. “Thirty-eight percent say they would take the drug hydroxychloroquine if they were diagnosed with the coronavirus,” Rasmussen said.
But, as with so much in America today, even taking the drug is partisan.
Said Rasmussen, “Politics rules these days even when it comes to personal health. While 53% of Republicans say they would take hydroxychloroquine if diagnosed with COVID-19, just 18% of Democrats and 28% of those not affiliated with either major party agree.”
