A recent YouGov poll shows that a majority of the public believes the United States is in a “constitutional crisis,” though recent polling by the same firm also suggests that President Donald Trump has high approval ratings.

The poll found that 54% of respondents believe the U.S. is suffering a crisis in relation to the Constitution after President Donald Trump enacted broad changes across the executive branch, including clashing with the Treasury Department and ordering the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to shut down. Twenty-seven percent of the public disagreed with the sentiment that the U.S. is in a constitutional crisis, while 19% had no opinion on the subject.
