Secret Service to conduct ‘routine active threat exercise’ at White House

The Secret Service announced that it will conduct a “routine active threat exercise” at the White House on Friday evening.

The exercise will last approximately five hours and take place between 8 p.m. and 1 a.m. The Secret Service said those near the White House may hear simulated gunfire and see more law enforcement in the area.
