More than a dozen American cities will host matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to take place next June and July. It will be the first time the United States has hosted the tournament since 1994.

Trump established the task force in March to help support preparations for the massive sporting event.

“Through interagency cooperation, information sharing, and strategic support, the Task Force aims to ensure the successful hosting of world-class international events that reflect the values, security, and hospitality of the United States of America,” White House officials said about the task force.
