Beth Chapman, the wife of Duane “Dog” Chapman and co-star of the show Dog the Bounty Hunter, died Wednesday in Hawaii after a two-year battle with cancer.

Chapman, 51, was placed in a medically induced coma days ago after a bout with cancer, which included aggressive chemotherapy. Chapman said on Mother’s Day that she had stopped the chemo treatments. She has been battling cancer off-and-on since 2017. She succumbed to the disease Wednesday morning.

Duane Chapman announced his wife’s death over Twitter, writing, “It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side.”

The Chapmans were well-known for starring on the A&E reality show Dog the Bounty Hunter, which aired from 2004 to 2012.
