Trump trolls Democrats with Gorsuch pick

Published

Democrats across the country are at a total, gobsmacked loss this week. President Trump — aka “#NotMyPresident” “#Resist” — was supposed to nominate Bane-meets-Moriarty to the Supreme Court. Instead, he inflicted upon the country the humble, fair-minded and unquestionably qualified Neil Gorsuch.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and what’s left of his caucus until 2018 predictably refused to meet with the nominee. Protesters in front of the court got out their sharpies to fill in Gorsuch’s name for their prefabricated outrage posters. And college students in Berkley literally set fire to their school while metaphorically torching any remaining sympathy the country had for progressives still upset over the election results. All the while Democrats were conjuring the name Merrick Garland while hoping nobody would remember that it was Chuck Schumer who declared a full 16 months before the 2008 election that they would block any Bush appointee.
