One day ahead of the election is as good a time as any to remind everyone that Democrats are promising to blow the southern border wide open to every sick and poor person in Latin America the second they get the chance.
Throughout the 2020 Democratic primary, each candidate pulled every muscle in their body trying to get as far to the Left as possible on the immigration question. Even Joe Biden, the supposed moderate, the alleged “adult in the room,” vowed that healthcare would be free to anyone who sets foot in the country, no questions asked.
His own campaign site says nothing about halting even criminals who cross illegally into the U.S. True, it says that a Biden administration would “implement effective border screening.” But screening isn’t the problem. We can identify criminals just fine. It’s the part where we’re supposed to get rid of them permanently that matters. On that point, Biden says nothing.
Biden’s site also promises he would “undo” all of President Trump’s executive actions on immigration, which, according to the Center for Immigration studies, actually have cut the growth of our immigrant population by about two-thirds from what it was during the Obama years.
Democrats swear that everyone south of the border comes bearing gifts from a land of milk and honey while at the same time telling us it’s our moral obligation to feel good about loading them up with welfare. There are no problems with rapists, child molesters, drug dealers, and human traffickers at the border, they say.
But let’s just look at some of the run-ins our Border Patrol agents have had in the last few days. All of this information comes from press releases sent out by the Customs and Border Protection unit at the Rio Grande Valley sector of the border in Texas:
— On Saturday, an agent confronted an illegal alien who attacked him using the agent’s own stun gun. The illegal alien hit the agent in the face and on the head with the gun several times, breaking the agent’s nose. The illegal alien was seen fleeing back into Mexico.
— On Friday, agents picked up $1.2 million worth of methamphetamine that drug smugglers coming across the border dropped upon realizing they’d been seen.
— Last week, agents arrested an illegal border crosser who, once processed, was revealed to be a Mexican national with a prior conviction in North Carolina for “indecent liberties with a child.”
A vote for Democrats and Biden is a vote for more of that.
