Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, announced on Monday that he has hired Paul Teller as his deputy chief of staff after Teller was fired in December for working with conservative groups to undermine the House budget agreement.
Teller was the executive director of the Republican Study Committee, a group of House conservatives.
