Harry Reid ready to flout Minnesota law for Al Franken

WHO: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

WHAT: Reid said emphatically that Minnesota Sen. Norm Coleman, caught in a recount dispute in his re-election effort against comedian Al Franken, Will never ever serve [again] in the Senate.”

WHY IT’S DIM: Minnesota law provides that no election that is legally challenged can be certified until Minnesota courts determine the case on the merits — and the state courts still could determine that Coleman has won. Reid is saying he is prepared to ignore Minnesota law.

CURE: Reid should read a law book.
