The first thing that can be said about the collection of presidential candidates in the Republican presidential primary debate Thursday evening is that it was an impressive group. It included, among others, two multi-term governors of large states, a former two-term senator who won 11 states — including the Iowa caucuses — in the 2012 presidential primary campaign and the first female CEO of a fortune 100 company.
And that was just the line-up for the debate held at 5 p.m. EST for candidates polling outside the top 10 Republican presidential candidates. That debate, according to most pundits, was won by Carly Fiorina, the former CEO of Hewlett Packard.
