Who’s coming across the Biden-Harris open border? Child molesters, rapists, and human traffickers

Democrats are fist-pumping this week as we hit the “100 days” of President Joe Biden’s administration, but here’s another milestone for assessment: It’s been 37 days since Vice President Kamala Harris was given the pleasure of overseeing the absolute mess created by her boss at the southern border.

How is that going?

Every other day or so, U.S. Customs and Border Protection sends out updates of the things it’s encountering at the border — drugs, migrants, stash houses. I get regular notices from the Rio Grande Valley sector, where I’ve been to survey the scene and where more illegal border crossings occur than anywhere else.

Let’s just look at some of the most recent encounters that agents are having there:

April 29: Agents found an abandoned box truck in the hotel parking lot in McAllen, Texas. Inside were 20 migrants, who had been left there for an hour as the temperature outside soared past 90 degrees.

April 27: Agents near Granjeno, Texas, encountered an adult male who had illegally crossed into U.S. processing revealed him to be Moises Umana-Umana, a Salvadoran national who had a previous conviction in Texas for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl. That same day, agents near Los Ebanos, Texas, apprehended a group of 16 migrants in the country illegally. A records check showed one of them to have a 2014 rape conviction in Virginia.

April 26: A vehicle stop in Mission, Texas, resulted in the apprehension of three migrants in the country illegally. An investigation led authorities to the driver’s home, where an additional 38 migrants were found. The driver was charged with human smuggling.

April 24: Agents arrested two migrants near Sullivan City, Texas. Processing revealed one of them to be an adult Honduran with a 2006 attempted murder conviction in Maryland.

April 23: Agents took 11 migrants into custody near Penitas, Texas. Records showed that one of them, a Salvadoran national, had been convicted previously for child molestation and assault with a deadly weapon in California.

And that’s just a few of the encounters agents had within the last week.

True, these same types of people and occurrences took place under former President Donald Trump and every other administration. But unlike Biden and Harris, they didn’t welcome it by promising to open the border to anyone and everyone who wanted in.

That’s what’s happening in the first 37 days of the Biden-Harris open border.
