On Tuesday, as troops loyal to Venezuelan socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro brutalized opposition demonstrators, MSNBC’s Kerry Sanders explained that part of the reason the Maduro government is still in power, and part of the reason it is so easily able to suppress and oppress Venezuelans, is because the people are unarmed.
