CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney says he can beat Obama in a presidential debate because he’s “got some pretty good zingers” and a record of successes in private and public life.

“I think I’ve got the best ideas for our nation [and] I think I’ve got some pretty good zingers in the debates,” Romney said at a town hall meeting in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, explaining why he is best suited to challenge Obama in a debate.  “I think I will be best able to post up against the president if we’re talking about the economy, in particular.”
