The commander of U.S. operations in Libya says “our job would be over” once President Moammar Gadhafi complies with a cease fire and withdraws from rebel-held cities.

If Gadhafi disarms his supporters and “withdraws from all the places we told him to withdraw, then the fighting would stop. Our job would be over,” Navy Adm. Samuel Locklear said, delivering the explanation for which Congress has been clamoring since the U.S.-led airstrikes began Saturday.
