Watch President Obama do the Argentine tango

In the last year of his presidency, Barack Obama has dropped a few hints about what he might do when he is no longer in office. He’ll be staying in D.C. at least long enough to see his daughters graduate, for one. He might also go on “Dancing With the Stars.”

The last bit is speculation, but it isn’t unheard of for former politicians or their families to go on the program. Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay and Bristol Palin have both been contestants on the ABC show.

As readers can see from watching this brief video of Obama dancing the tango at a state dinner in Argentina Wednesday night, the president has got the moves for it.

At the dinner in Buenos Aires, held in the American First Couple’s honor by Argentine president Mouricio Marci, a male and female pair of tango dancers tried to get the Obamas to come cut a rug. After declining several times, both Barack and Michele Obama took the floor with different dance partners.

After wowing the Latin American audience with his moves, Mrs. Obama gave Barack’s female dance partner a hug.

America and the rest of the world is seeing a bit of Obama’s playful side on his Latin American trip. While watching an American-Cuban baseball game in Havana, Cuba, between the Tampa Bay Rays and the national team Estado Latinamericano, he did “the wave” alongside Cuban leader Raul Castro.

Despite world turmoil and domestic criticism, the American president seems to be determined to enjoy himself.
