Portland School Board approves teachers’ contract

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Portland School Board has approved a new contract with the city’s teachers after 10 months of negotiations that brought Oregon’s largest school district close to a strike.

The Oregonian reports the board voted 7-0 on Monday to OK the three-year agreement.
