ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — The Department of Environmental Conservation is taking public comment through Nov. 4 on proposed changes to regulations for tank storage of petroleum and hazardous chemicals.
Commissioner Joe Martens says the proposed changes clarify existing requirements. He says the rules should make it easier to comply with equipment and handling standards needed to prevent contamination of soil, groundwater, surface water and public water supplies.
