Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang declared this weekend that “AGI has arrived” with the release of OpenAI’s newest model, GPT-6 Astra.

Huang, who has helmed the chipmaker for over three decades, made the comment on Sunday in a social media post praising the model’s release. AGI stands for artificial general intelligence, a vague term to describe the point at which AI is capable of performing intellectual tasks on par with or beyond the capabilities of a human.
