The Trump administration on Tuesday announced a limited-edition Social Security card it is making available for babies born during the United States semiquincentennial.
The special card features the phrase “Freedom 250,” marking the recipient’s birth during the nation’s 250th year. They will be available only for a few million babies born in a six-month window between July 2 and December 31, 2026. The cards are identical in function to a standard Social Security card.
