VIDEO — Weekly Examiner: Congress’ last efforts before recess

It was a busy week on Capitol Hill. Just before leaving for their five-week summer recess, the Senate passed a bill overhauling the Veterans Affairs department and a bill replenishing the Highway Trust Fund until May 2015.

The House of Representatives delayed their August recess for a day when they were called back into action after not passing a border bill.
