President Obama and Texas Gov. Rick Perry met yesterday in Dallas, Texas, to discuss the ongoing crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border. President Obama said Republicans and Democrats need to put their differences aside and pass his $3.7 billion proposal to help combat the recent surge of unaccompanied minors. Congress will debate the president’s proposal today.

The House Veterans Affairs committee will discuss the importance of giving veterans the mental health care they need to combat suicidal thoughts upon their return from war.
