For the second straight year, a plurality of Americans say their own government is the nation’s biggest problem.

About 16 percent say some aspect of the United States’ government — President Obama, Congress or political conflict — is the country’s chief problem, according to a new Gallup survey. That’s down two percentage points since the last survey a year ago.

The economy was the second biggest problem at 13 percent, followed by immigration and unemployment with 8 percent each.

2015 was the first year since 2007 that immigration was one of the top four problems in the eyes of Americans, according to Gallup.

Gallup’s survey of 2015 comes from a total sample of roughly 12,000 adults nationwide via cell and landline phone interviews with a margin of error of plus or minus 1 percent.
