President Trump sternly warned North Korea Wednesday against testing the U.S. by developing nuclear weapons, and said assuming his administration would be weak as previous ones had would be a “fatal miscalculation.”
“NoKo has interpreted America’s past restraint as weakness. This would be a fatal miscalculation. Do not underestimate us. AND DO NOT TRY US,” Trump tweeted while in Beijing, China.

Trump is in the midst of a week-and-a-half-long trip to five Asian countries. The White House had planned for Trump to visit the Korean Demilitarized Zone between South Korea and North Korea, but was unable to transport the president to the location due to inclement weather conditions.
The warning is one of Trump’s harshest comments to Kim Jong Un’s country. Over the summer, Trump warned they would face “fire and fury” if they launched an attack at the U.S.
